The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. 40 highway and Valley View Road.
It was reported as a "rollover" crash with the "ejection" of an occupant- the driver- as reported by Independence Police.
An 18-year-old female was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center in critical condition.
The patient died later Thanksgiving weekend..
IPD has identified her as "18-year-old Sarah E. Dillon of Overland Park KS..

Actually, it was a 2-car accident. Her car was struck by another vehicle. Just heard the other driver's driver's license had previously been revoked.
