Heads should roll after this one.

Reports were that, one, there were no working smoke detectors. That made number two worse: that what appears to be a modest single family dwelling was apparently hacked up into tiny apartments, making it difficult for FFs to search properly. Question: were the apartments properly vetted by the city and subject to the usual inspections, etc.?

Condolences to the family...apparently the mom tried to rescue the child but was repelled by the fire.

I imagine there be some sort of inquiry re the landlord- but I doubt there'll be anything more than a fine if that.

It was sad to listen to this incident unfold T.O..

I make digital recordings of the scanners during my shifts- and I may go back this week and listen again.

I hope the mother makes it and my condolences to the family and friends of the victims.
