Two adults have been injured in a house fire in the 6200 block of Bellfountaine in south-central Kansas City.
The alarm came in at 6 a.m. and five fire companies responded. The first company arrived at 6:03 a.m. reporting "smoke showing from a single-story" house.
The injured occupants were reported several minutes later- and 3 EMS units were sent to the scene.
The victims reportedly suffered burns and smoke inhalation- but when EMS arrived and assessed the patients- it was determined the injuries were minor.
Two handlines were used on the fire- now under control and investigation.
