The National Weather Service (NWS) office in Topeka has issued a "Winter Weather Advisory" for snow in the following Kansas counties:
DICKINSON- MORRIS- LYON- OSAGE- FRANKLIN- COFFEY and ANDERSON.
This will include Kansas City MetroRegion cities such as Emporia- Ottawa- Garnett and Osage City.
The NWS forecasts "3 to 5 inches of snow" by Friday evening.
Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for areas around Pittsburg KS- Joplin and Springfield MO..
