CSW BREAKING: Independence MO House Fire



T
he flames have been extinguished in a house in the 2900 block of South Iva Drive.



Five companies of the Independence Fire Department (IFD) responded to the fire just after 3:15 am Sunday morning.

Pumper 10 arrives at 3:21 am and finds smoke coming from the front door of the split-level house shown in the Google Streetview image.

It was first reported to be a fire "in the laundry room" of the lived-in residence but by 3:46 am- the fire had spread up into the attic.

At least 1 occupant- "a female with no shoes on" escaped the fire and no other injuries had been reported as of this post.

The investigation as to the fire's cause is underway.
