This blaze was in the 6600 block of Broadmoor- not the street in Johnson County but the 1-block street in South-Midtown KC-MO- southwest of Research Med Center.
The initial alarm sounded at 9:27 am Monday morning and fire crews found a working fire when they arrived.
Interior crews reported "the furnace had been removed with the gas line left open"- but no one inside the structure.
This fire was reported "under control" at 9:53 am..
There has been no reported firefighter injuries from this incident.
