BREAKING WEATHER: Snow Accumulating On I-29 North

A
report from a mobile CSW reporter within the past 20 minutes is that "moderate to heavy snow is falling in the St. Joseph area" with "I-29 becoming snow-covered as far south as the Platte-Buchanan county line."

Our reporter also says "there are NO road crews out" at the time of his report and drive to St. Joe.

Here are the latest weather images: the 9 am weather map- showing snow in St. Joe with a surface temperature of 32-degrees- and the Central States and MetroRegion weather radars- that clearly show the upper low pressure area causing this precipitation centered over southeastern Kansas.

The temperature here in south KCMO is still in the lower-40's- so I do NOT anticipate any accumulating snows in the city itself- but areas west through northwest and north of Kansas City should continue to see deteriorating winter conditions through early afternoon.

More up-to-the-minute weather information here at CSW through the day as needed.....
