Police- fire & EMS units were called to an alley south of Armstrong off 9th Street at 4:50 am Sunday morning on a reported shooting.
There lay the victim: "an approximately 20-year-old male shot twice in the chest" said a KC-KS FD-EMS paramedic.
The victim's heart stopped while enroute to a hospital and CPR became necessary.
(UPDATE) The man was declared dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Police don't have any witnesses to the shooting. A woman who had called in the inital report didn't hang around to talk to the law.
