K.C. Metro WEATHER: Wet To Dry Contrast Areawide

Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue to develop and move generally south to north across western to northern areas of Metro Kansas City.

Shown below is a Doppler radar-indicated map of precipitation that has fallen over the area this Tuesday afternoon.
Using the color key on the left of the image- the warmer-colored areas of around 2-inch rainfalls are indicated in southern Platte county MO- mainly in the Line Creek watershed.

Caution should be used around creeks and drainage ditches in southern Platte county for at least the next several hours as additional storms with heavy rain are likely over these same areas.
