Landfall circa 1145-1230 this a.m.

Plastic 8" tall cannister outside my door-I'll get it at dark-thirty and measure the amound of rain in there to let you know just how much Gus dumped on us.
TOR WATCH 'til midnight Tuesday.
FLOOD WATCH in effect.

He ain't done with us yet.
There are a few rain-bands still.
I've had power through the day...which is a blessing-some have not.

SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI

GUS downgraded to TD (we ain't talking touchdowns, ha ha).
This critter refuses to die. The cannister I mentioned previously got left outside last night due to winds and rain and TOR WATCH and I think it's overflowing as I type.
So we got at LEAST 8in. of rain since noon on 1 Sept.

MOST of that has soaked in.
Goodbye Rain deficit....Goodbye drought conditions!

The rains will be beneficial- as will be the moisture WE hope to obtain with Guss' dying gasps.

Cheers!
