The K.C. MetroRegion remains under a "slight risk" forecast for possible severe thunderstorms this Friday afternoon & evening.
As you can see by the raqdar image from NWS-Topeka- thunderstorms have already developed in parts of Metro K.C.- and this trend will continue through the afternoon.
Presently- no severe weather watches are in effect- but this could change during the next hour or so.
