At 5:16pm- five KC-MO fire companies responded to the report of a tree falling on a single-story house in the 4600 block of North Oakley- setting the house on fire.The fire is reportedly fairly minor- and no injuries have been reported. This fire call has been one of several in the past hour responding to problems caused by high wind gusts.
Winds gusting as high as 50 m.p.h. are blowing through the KC-MO MetroRegion- and will continue for at least the next several hours.
