It's The Rock And Roll Hall Of Shame With No Chicago

It was with anticipation that I read the latest nominated inductees into Cleveland's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame a bit ago.

That anticipation turned again to anger- another year passes and America's 2nd biggest-selling band of ALL time STILL won't be entering the Hall.

CHICAGO didn't pass muster.

I submit the band's first 3 albums. If this isn't "groundbreaking" enough- please tell me what is?

They had a guitar player- Terry Kath- who a fellow named Jimi Hendrix once said was a better guitar player than he was. The band's first 3 releases- all double albums- covered virtually all musical styles from classical to country.

It was and still is great music that became the soundtrack of my very life.

Sure- I'm biased. No doubt all the ballads CHICAGO released in the subsequent years probably lost them credibility in the rock world. But that alone is no excuse.

Better musicians you will not find in an American band- STILL touring and recording I may add. The only American band that has sold more records- tapes and CDs is The Beach Boys- and THEY were inducted in the Hall years ago.

IMHO- the Hall of Fame is bogus without inclusion of what is without any doubt one of America's greatest musical treasures- CHICAGO.
