Two Lawrence KS Cops "Suspended" For Fixing Traffic Tickets

This is being reported by the LAWRENCE (KS) JOURNAL-WORLD- two Lawrence Police department police officers have been "suspended" for fixing traffic tickets in exchange for University of Kansas basketball tickets.

The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) was reportedly involved in the case- and the person that provided the two accused officers the KU basketball tickets is already in a federal prison for the earlier KU ticket scam last year- according to the LJ-W story.

The names of the police officers accused are being kept secret- i.e.- not released to the public- by the Lawrence Police department.

Great, when a cop is breaking the law he get's suspended but when I do this I have to pay and for such actions I would definitely go to jail...
I don't understand how this works because I know a similar traffic ticket Toronto case and those cops were back to work after the suspension expired....

I read you 'loud and clear' Julia.

There WAS a day when police officers- politicians- priests- etc. were held to a higher standard of behavior due to their responsibilties to us- the citizens.

We have actaully entered some sort of "Twilight Zone' where nothing makes much sense anymore.

Thanks for your comment and reading my blog- Bless you and yours as I hum your most lovely anthem 'Oh Canada.'
