The incident was reported at 9:43 p.m. Friday night.
About 10 minutes later the plane- reported to be a Delta Airlines flight from the East Coast with 45 people on board- landed safety.
The aircraft was escorted to a secure area of KCI- for it was reported there was possibly some sort of explosives on the aircraft.
The aircraft was searched- apparently without incident with no other details yet available.

Heh- this story didn't even make national news.
You can bet if a plane forced to land because of suspicion of explosives in New York- LA or Chicago- it WOULD be on the national AP wire at least.

Star reporter might not have wanted to get out of bed to do so or maybe was drunk
I take that back Star did do a report and are claiming this
Authorities told them that an unauthorized transmission was made from the plane,
So take that for what you want.
