CSW WEATHER: Excessively Hot Later Today- Monday


The National Weather Service (NWS) office for Kansas City in Pleasant Hill MO says there will be too much summer starting at noon today.


Actually- it's called an "Excessive Heat Warning" and it's in effect beginning noon today until 7 p.m. Monday evening.

Metro Kansas City counties in this Excessive Heat Warning are Johnson and Wyandotte in Kansas- Platte- Clay and Jackson counties in Missouri.


Actual temperatures of 95 to 100 degrees expected with humidity values making it feel like 103 to 108 degrees.

Very hot day in store today and the week it appears.

You will do your light bill and your AC unit a favor if you raise your temp setting to 80 and run ceiling fans if you have them or a room fan to feel the breeze.

Just very hard on your units in these temps since most are not sized to deal with this kind of heat and humidity.
