Besides the KC-MO homicide-another young man suffered serious to critical injuries when he was shot just before 2 a.m. in the area of Kansas Avenue and 10th Street.
KC-KS Fire department EMS said the "18-year-old" victim had been shot twice-once in the upper leg- shattering a thigh bone- then shot again in his upper abdomen.
Police didn't have any suspect info initially and were investigating the incident.
