*** ONE DEAD IN KC-MO WRECK ***

*** A two car crash on the south end of the Broadway Bridge just after midnight resulted in at least one dead - a young female- and at least 1 critically-injured of 3 other patients.

The crash was reported at 12:08am- extrication of the injured in the 2 vehicles was needed and 5 MAST ambulances to treat/transport them. There were reports the dead child was not in a child-restraint seat.

Southbound Broadway Extension was closed for more than 3 hours.

** MAN CRITICALLY-INJURED AFTER BAR FIGHT IN KC-MO **

*** An approximately 30-year-old man was in very critical condition as enroute to an area medical trauma center after a reported assault in a back parking lot of a south Kansas City nightclub early Sunday morning.

The incident occurred in the back parking lot of the One Block East club at 11801 Blue Ridge at 12:39am.. Paramedics said their patient "was knocked down and his head struck the pavement" during an altercation.

There was no suspect information or word if any arrests were made.

** SERIOUS INJURIES IN DOUGLAS COUNTY KS WRECK **

... Two were reported injured- one seriously- in a 1-vehicle rollover crash down an embankment near Lawrence at 4:55am Sunday morning.

The crash was in the 800 block of East 1000 Road- and a seriously-injured male was flown by medical helicopter to a K.C. hospital. The 2nd occupant reportedly had minor injuries.

Temperatures remained 10 to 15 degrees above average overnight under mostly clear skies and light easterly winds.

A strong warm-up over the next few days- until a strong cold front passes through the area late Tuesday or Wednesday.

That front will threaten the MetroRegion with a range of weather from possible thunderstorms to ice and/or snow into early Thanksgiving Day. The coldest air of the season is expected.
