The same storm system that spawned killer tornadoes in Northeast Texas Saturday produced rainfalls of nearly a foot in several areas- creating record floods on at least a half-dozen streams and rivers.

Missouri communities of West Plains and Cabool were especially hard hit.
In St. Louis- major flooding is forecast on the Mississippi River- with forecasted crests by mid-week nearing 1993 levels.
