Two Dead in 2 KC-MO Traffic Crashes

Two people are dead in separate traffic crashes that occurred in Kansas City MO Sunday morning.

Police were following and trying to stop a white Chevrolet containing 4 people near 39th Street and Main around 12:25 a.m..

The white Chevy was reportedly being driven erratically- going the wrong way on one-way streets and almost hitting other vehicles when police were alerted.

The Chevy's driver took off east on 39th Street with Center Zone patrol officers not far behind when- at 12:27 a.m.- the Chevy "clipped a parked car and rolled over."

One of the Chevy's occupants died at the scene- the other 3 much lesser-injured.

No one else was hurt.

The other crash was reported around 4:35 a.m. on I-435 southbound near the Sni-A-Bar overpass.

Reportedly a motorcyclist was killed here- and southbound I-435 south of I-70 was closed.

Further details on this and the earlier crash are pending.
