Six companies of KC-MO firefighters are battling a house fire in single-digit temperatures near the Brookside area.
The initial alarm sounded at 12:14 pm early Monday afternoon for a house on fire in the 600 block of East 61st Street.
The fire was actually found in a structure in the 6000 block of Kenwood.
Pumper 29 arrived at 12:17 pm and reported fire was showing from the 2nd-floor of a 2-story house.
Initial searches of the burning structure have not revealed any victims inside.
At 12:25 pm- the on-scene KC-MO battalion chief has declared this fire under control.
As of this post- no injuries have been reported and a fire investigation will be underway shortly to determine cause.
