MetroRegion Kansas City WEATHER: NWS Heat Advisory Today



B
oth the Kansas City and Topeka National Weather Service (NWS) offices have issued "heat advisories" for hot temperatures and high humidities Saturday.


The heat could last into Sunday too.


Gusty south winds should help some- with additional relief expected with showers and thunderstorms and a cool front Monday morning.

THE COMBINATION OF TEMPERATURES SOARING INTO THE UPPER 90S AND HIGH HUMIDITIES WILL PRODUCE AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES AROUND 105 DEGREES. THIS WILL FEEL ESPECIALLY UNCOMFORTABLE DUE TO JULY AND EARLY AUGUST BEING UNSEASONABLY COOL.
