The TOPEKA CAPITOL-JOURNAL reports that a Lifestar medical helicopter enroute to Fort Riley for a pediatric patient was forced to make an emergency landing in a field in western Shawnee county late Wednesday night.

The C-J reported that low oil pressure lights began showing a problem and the pilot made a emergency landing in a field without damage or injury.
Another helicopter was called to complete the mission.
