It's been pretty slack with the severe weather around the Metro this year- bad for storm chasers- a relief for the rest of us.
There is a window for some severe weather locally: Later today across generally the northern half of the Kansas City MetroRegion and tomorrow over most of the MetroRegion- including Metro K.C..
The risk for tornadoes is low- with the primary severe weather threat being lightning- hail and possible high winds.
There is also a risk for heavy rainfall across the area on Tuesday and Tuesday night.
