At least 1 person has died and 2 others have received serious to critical injuries in a vehicle crash on Missouri(M) 291 near Harrisonville. Three medical helicopters were initially ordered after EMS crews arrived around 11:15am in Central Cass county on this possible head-on collision- one vehicle being a truck.
One chopper was just cancelled when the fatality was confirmed. All 3 victims have had to be extricated from vehicles. The Central Cass Fire department needed help from at least 2 other departments to handle the incident.
M-291 is closed both directions north of Harrisonville and probably will be for awhile.
