KANSAS CITY MetroRegion BREAKING WEATHER: NWS-SPC: "Slight" Chance Of Severe Storms Today

The National Weather Services' Storm Prediction Center in Norman-OK has outlooked an area of the Kansas City MetroRegion generally south of Interstate-70 for a "slight chance" of severe thunderstorms later this Sunday afternoon and evening.

Severe-criteria hail and wind gusts are the primary severe threats expected- but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

The storms will form in a line along a cold front expected to push through the Metro by late afternoon. Heavy rainfall can also be expected into Monday and some snow accumulations are possible by midday Monday.

If any storm watches are issued later today- they'll be posted ASAP....

No news from last night? All the good stuff going on too.

PD in a footchase down south, PD in a wreck down south, a *ton* of shootings, a few stabbings, PD shooting at a guy who was shooting at a patient while the patient was with MAST, and MAST having to flee the scene as the shooting is going on.

A guy pouring gas around porches and setting them on fire early in the evening.

Lots of goodies.

Footchases? Those happen several times daily.

Cop wreck? The cop- and the other motorist refused any MAST-EMS transport- it was schlock news at best.

Didn't hear the MAST patient shooting- but then my pay doesn't start until MIDNIGHT.

Now the guy pouring gas- at more than $3 a gallon- WOULD have been news- but then again so was the 4 firefighters who were on the porch that collapsed Saturday morning.

Except for a couple of paragraphs in Sunday's STAR- even THAT wasn't news to our 4 "news" stations Saturday.

I am just one man with a pair of seriously singed ears- a little help would be nice! lol
