SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 593 IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1000 PM CDT FOR THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS - NE - NEBRASKA COUNTIES INCLUDED ARE ARTHUR - BLAINE - BOYD - BROWN - CHERRY - CUSTER - GRANT - HOLT - HOOKER - KEYA PAHA - LOGAN - LOUP - MCPHERSON - ROCK - THOMAS


SD - SOUTH DAKOTA COUNTIES INCLUDED ARE AURORA - BON HOMME - BRULE - CHARLES MIX - DOUGLAS - GREGORY


HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER- THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH- AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.


DISCUSSION- LINE OF INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS HAS FORMED ALONG AXIS OF STRONG HEATING AND WEAKENING CAP OVER CENTRAL NEB/SOUTHERN SD. THESE STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO PERSIST FOR SEVERAL HOURS THIS EVENING WITH A RISK OF DAMAGING WINDS AND HAIL.

AVIATION- A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 2 INCHES. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND GUSTS TO 60 KNOTS. A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO 600. MEAN STORM MOTION VECTOR 30025.
