Critical Injuries at Southeastern Kansas City MO House Fire


Two people have been critically injured- with one of the injured being transported to a hospital at this post- from a house fire in far south Kansas City...


The fire is reported to be in a residence in the 8600 block of East 116th Street- fire crews responded about 9:30 pm Saturday night.


At least 9 fire companies and several EMS units were sent to the scene.


Two victims were reported by the battalion chief officer at 9:43 pm- with "CPR in progress" on one person.


That victim was reported to be a female- and she was in very critical condition while enroute to Research Med Center via KCFD-EMS "Medic-30."

This person reportedly died from their injuries Sunday morning.The second victim was reported to be an unknown-age male- his injuries were less critical and he was also taken to Research.


The fire was reported under control around 9:55 pm..
