The tornado moved east along the Illinois River near Peru and Ottawa.
Parts of Ottawa IL south of the river were hard hit around 4:45 pm CST Tuesday afternoon..
Radio reports are of "a large wedge (shaped) tornado" near Ottawa- and a tree has apparently fallen either on a house or a vehicle in or near Ottawa- with "CPR in-progress" on one victim- "the other (victim) possibly DOA."
The Times online in Ottawa confirmed the fatality- "1 serious injury" and other unknown-number of non-serious injured.
The other man injured by that falling tree died Wednesday- according to CBS-2 in Chicago.

At 5:10 pm- a tornado was reported in Marseilles IL with "damage to buildings" there.
At 5:25 pm- there is a mutual-aid "all-call" for tornado damage in the Ottawa IL area..
Numerous ambulances from outside agencies have been requested.
At 5:44 pm- a "3rd-alarm for a natural disaster" has been sounded for the Ottawa IL area- "ambulances only."

The town of Naplate IL was also struck- with more than "a half-dozen houses damaged" according to a spotter there.
