Category 5 Hurricane Felix slammed ashore on the Nicaragua-Honduras border this morning and- as you can see by the visible satellite picture virtually on the edge of NOAA's North American GOES-12 satellite camera range- the enclosed center of Felix is now over northeastern Nicaragua.

It's like these things are lining up one after the other. I would think the odds are very high that mainland US is in for at least a Category 4 during this season. I hope people will be prepared.
Well I hope you're both wrong and right Mark...wrong about the Cat-4 but right about preparedness.
Oh- history was also made having hurricanes from the Atlantic AND Pacific hitting Central America on the same day.
