The first alarm came in around 10:20pm- when firefighters arrived they found heavy fire and immediately ordered a 2nd-alarm.
Presently- at least 10 fire companies are battling the blaze- and it sounds as if perhaps crews are getting a handle on the fire as of this post.

UPDATE: 0200CDT - Firefighters have mostly extinquished the stubborn fire in a large building- reportedly a "former bowling alley." Several walls collapsed over the past 3 hours- but there were no reports of firefighter injuries as they had been pulled out of the structure.
Several companies of KC-KS firefighters were called to assist KC-MO Fire's battle.

It's a church, or at least the sign above the door said so. I don't remember it being a bowling alley for a long time.
I know the place now.
All I was reporting is what 2 different fire chiefs told me.
