***BREAKING NEWS: ONE DEAD, ONE CRITICALLY INJURED IN KC, KS. HOUSE FIRE***
The alarm went out to KC-KS fire stations at 5:48 am Sunday morning alerting them of a house fire at 10th Street & Quindaro in N.E. KC-KS..

Within 30 seconds- Pumper 5 - stationed about a block away - reports "heavy fire" from the front 2-stories of the house. While entry is made into the burning structure- a disturbing report is made at exactly 6 am..

The chief reports "a victim's being pulled out" and eight minutes later- "a 2nd victim."

Both persons - a male in his 50's" and a female around 40 were transported to a hospital. The female's injuries were fatal.

The fire was under control by 6:20 am.. Police had yet to arrive to block the street for fire hoses as of 6:38 am..
