A 30 to 40-year old female driver suffered massive head injuries just before 12:40 am in an EMS-reported car crash on eastbound I-70 west of Noland Road in Independence, MO.. The woman's injuries were grave.

In Kansas City, MO- a 38-year-old woman was stabbed, cut and robbed at 73rd Street and Prospect around 3:40 am. Her injuries were not life-threatening but there was no suspect information available.

Five fire companies responded to an unoccupied house fire in the 5300 block of Blue Parkway shortly before 4:30 am.. The structure was heavily-damaged. One firefighter suffered a minor foot injury after his leg went through the roof while battling the blaze. Cause of this fire was under investigation.
