KANSAS CITY'S WEATHER: Snow Has Begun

The beginning of the forecasted 3-5-inches of snow has begun over much of the western and northern portions of Metro K.C. right now.

The radar image indicates areas of heavier snow- and possible sleet and/or freezing rain (yellows and oranges) just entering Johnson County KS..

Untreated roads and walking surfaces will quickly become ice and/or snow-covered this morning.

Watch yer keister- and those young or young at heart- enjoy K.C.'s first significant snowfall of the season! g
