Rita Valenciano claims The Minutemen are "a racist organization."
Well Rita- if you want to get TECHNICAL- even the N.A.A.C.P. is "a racist organization" per se.
Turns out Funkhouser didn't even KNOW the woman- Frances Semler- was a Minuteman member until yesterday- when he made the board appointments public.
However- I'm sure Ms. Valenciano knows full-well what "racist" is- since her son is SO adept at playing those cards daily on his blog.
Also- I'm only assuming that Ms. Valenciano herself APPLIED for a park board opening and was turned down.
If that's the case- sour grapes and accusations make pretty crappy whine.
