CSW BREAKING: House Fire in KC-MO Northland

Five companies of KC-MO firefighters are on the scene of a house fire in Northland KC-MO..


The alarm was sounded at 7:48 a.m. for the address in the 4200 block of North Virginia- next to the St. Pius X Catholic High school.

Pumper 6 arrived at 7:53 a.m.- reporting "smoke showing."

A reported initial search of the "1-story" house was clear of anyone trapped inside as reported at 7:58 a.m..

At least 1 handline is being used- with an about block-long lay of hose to the nearest fire hydrant "on 44th Street."


The fire was reported under control at 8 a.m.- with no reports of injuries and a cause of the fire soon to be under investigation.

CSW BREAKING: House Fire in KC-MO Northland

Fire crews are using 4 handlines on a fire in a house just north of the North Kansas City limits.


The alarm came in at 5:35 a.m. for a house fire in the 3300 block of Northeast Mohawk Lane and fire was visible in the rear of the 1-story structure to the first-arriving pumper company crew at 5:40 a.m..

Five other companies as well as EMS assisted in the firefight.


As of 5:56 a.m.- no one has been found inside and no one has been injured- and this fire is "under control."

CSW BREAKING: House Fire In KC-MO Northland



At 12:23 pm Wednesday afternoon- a "regular alarm" response of 5 KC-MO fire companies were sent to a reported house fire in the 4200 block of North Elmwood.


The dispatcher told responding companies there was "one excited call from the resident there and she was trying to get the kids out" of the burning house. A MAST-EMS unit is sent to the scene.

At 12:27 pm- pumper company 34 responding reports "smoke showing from Parvin Road and Bellaire"- more than 1/2-mile away from the address.

At 12:28 pm- another pumper company (P-6) arrives in from of the "1-story" home and reports "heavy smoke and fire showing."

There is no indication any of the occupants are trapped as- at 12:31 pm- scene command reports "2" handlines being used on the flames.


At 12:35 pm- a "primary search" of the 1st-floor is "all clear" of any occupants and no reports of any of the escaped occupants getting hurt..

The fire is reported "under control" at 12:42 pm- but a firefighter has reportedly suffered a non life-threatening "ankle injury" at the scene- according to KC-MO FD battalion chief 103.


The house sounds to be virtually a total loss with two adults and a child displaced.
