Here are maps of rainfall totals accumulated since early Friday.
The maps are divided into northern and southern Metro Kansas City rainfall reporting stations through 6 a.m. Saturday- February 4- courtesy of the Overland Park 'StormWatch' page (further details and exact locations can be found there).
Rains of generally one to one and three-quarters inch fell throughout the Metro- with the heaviest amounts shown in southern and southeastern areas.
Had this been snowfall- using the average of one inch of snow to every one-tenth inch melted equivalent rainfall- Metro Kansas City would have experienced from 10 to 17 inches of the freezy skid-stuff!
Some snowfall is expected in the Metro (mainly west to north portions) later tonight into early Sunday- but any totals at all will stay well under an inch on mainly grassy surfaces.
