The EMPORIA (KS) GAZETTE reports that a yet unidentified person died in a mobile home fire early Tuesday afternoon.
The Emporia Fire department reportedly responded at 1:22 p.m. to an address in the 600 block of Lakeview Street and arrived 2 minutes later to see smoke showing from the trailer.
The body of the victim was discovered inside shortly thereafter.
Emporia officials are not saying if the fire killed the victim or that they died by some other means.
