A 31-year-old man died after crashing his Mustang on I-470 near Strother Road in Lee's Summit early Friday morning during a MSHP pursuit.
The MSHP crash report states that Trooper D.D. Wohler was observing eastbound I-470 traffic when the driver of the 2002 Mustang- reported as Adam G Hodgeman- raced by the trooper at 98 m.p.h..
Only 2 minutes into the pursuit- Hodgeman came upon other traffic near Strother Road and lost control of his car off the east side of the roadway and rolled-over.
Hodgeman- who was not wearing a seat beat- was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jackson County coroner.
