One could see this coming when American Airlines- with nearby overhaul bases in Tulsa-OK and Fort Worth-TX- acquired the old TWA overhaul base at Kansas City International airport in 2001.
It has been announced by KSHB-41 NBC Action News that American Airlines will be shuttering the K.C.I. operation effective next spring. The KANSAS CITY STAR just reports "a meeting" about "the future of the KCI overhaul base.
This leaves another almost 1k well-paying- skill jobs to disappear from the Kansas City landscape.
