The Metro has now been included in an "enhanced risk" for severe thunderstorms and a possible "significant" tornado later this Monday afternoon and evening.
The threat will be greatest with isolated storm 'supercells' that develop ahead of an approaching cold front that will pass through KC before midnight.
PLEASE stay alert to rapidly changing weather conditions later today- and make a mental note of where you and yours would take shelter from severe weather and/or a possible tornado.
