Some heat-of-the-day activity has and is developing south of Metro Kansas City and moving slowly northward toward the Metro.
This trend will continue until sunset- with a few of the storms becoming locally heavy/severe with mostly large hail and gusty winds possible.
The greater concern is heavy rainfall over soils already fairly saturated with rains for the past week.
At this time- there are no weather watches in effect or expected- but don't be surprised a random severe thunderstorm or perhaps flash flood warning is issued later today in and/or around Metro Kansas City.
