At 5:51 p.m. Wednesday afternoon- a person injured by gunshot was reported in the parking lot of the Checker's grocery store at 2300 Louisiana is south Lawrence KS..
That gunshot victim has been confirmed dead on the scene by Douglas County-Lawrence-EMS as of 6:02 p.m..
There was an unconfirmed report that this was a possible suicide- but CSW is awaiting confirmed details on this incident....

Trouble is- no one is saying ANYTHING about this incident.
Kinda like the drowning at Hillsdale Lake 2 weekends ago hardly anybody (but KSHB) covered...

I was there at Checkers when the police were there. An employee (young cart boy) told me it was a suicide. Guy shot himself in the backseat of the mini van. Other than that I was hoping for more facts. LJW won't cover it though if it's suicide. If you don't have a friend in the PD, you probably won't get more info.
