KANSAS CITY WEATHER: Sorry For All The Hype

Every meteorologist in town blows his or her own horn when they get things right- and though I'm not a DEGREED meteorologist (been "into" the field for nearly 50 years)- I'm going to acknowledge going a bit over the deep end yesterday.

The Captain wishes to be the FIRST to apologize for getting everyone fearful of The Severe Weather Event to End All Severe Weather Events that never developed in our area.

The K.C. Metro and MOST of the MetroRegion ended up just having robust late-spring thundershowers.

Remember though- while I'm first to apologize for the hype- I was also FIRST to release the pressure valve with THIS post- saying the storms won't be as bad HERE as forecasted (that at around 8:30pm Thursday night).

So while I may jump out and SCARE you- I'll also pat you on the head & comfort you before the "other" weather people in this town.

Oh- those elephants in Ellisworth-KS were captured- without incident or injury- after getting tired of walking around Ellisworth for a couple of hours.

Peace and enjoy the forecasted great weather (finally-OOPS! except maybe for late Sunday or SUnday night storms) this weekend!
