CEO's "Golden Parachutes" Of Government-Rescued Corporations Should Be Seized

By God- if we- the Taxpayers of America- HAVE to rescue these failed firms with hundreds of billions of OUR money- THE VERY LEAST we should expect is that the CEOs of these failed firms have to surrender their million-dollar severance packages.

If this "bail-out" takes weeks to get right- so should that be done.

KANSAS CITY'S BREAKING NEWS: KC-MO Shooting- Possible Homicide

And this "homicide" may be justified.

Around 2:30pm- an armed robbery in progress- then a shooting- is reported in the parking lot of "ben's Market" at 27th Street & Prospect.

The different spin on these turn of events are- as reported by KC-MO police on the scene- that this is "the victim (of the robbery who) shot the suspect."

The "victim's" aim was true- their lead effective.

MAST-EMS was transporting the "suspect"- condition near-death- to a nearby medical trauma center .

Severely-Injured Polo-MO Child Needs America's Help

Last Tuesday evening- the following image shows a "breaking news" story that was posted here...

I never heard further about the child's accident or the real extent of his injuries. Ms. Rittenhouse and I had wondered.

This morning- I received the following response to that news story:

"On Tuesday afternoon a three year old boy, named Colten, was severely injured in a lawn mowing accident in Polo, Missouri.

He lost one of his legs in the accident, and the other had to be amputated. Extensive injuries to his back side has left him without a rectum.

He lies in a drug induced coma at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

Keep this child and his family in your prayers over the next several months. He is at a very high risk for developing infection because of how the injury occurred.

As for the second part of this request I was not sure of how to even begin to word it.

This family has no health insurance coverage. The need for help will reach far beyond his medical bills. This is a young family who's father is self employed.

In closing, we all receive and send emails to each other, often with a long pre-forwarding list of people we don't know. Words of encouragement that might have been the right message for someone. If what I could imagine for this family, it would be, that everyone that receives this email, would place one dollar in an envelope and mail it to the address above.

This is not a scam, that is why I included the address and phone number of the bank. Trust the person that has sent this email to you, and act on faith. May God bless all who reads this."

Though the message was posted anonymously- I verified the information via the telephone number that the poster provided.

Unfortunately- it's all true.

I'm going to send some money to this child's family. The medical costs will be tremendous.

Please help them too if you can.

Americans Cashing Out Their Money Market Funds

Months ago- I had encouraged Ms. Rittenhouse to consider cashing-in her 401K money market fund and transferring her assets into more stable financial instruments.

A call last week to her broker gave her the news that her account "has lost about $1.9k in a year." The broker's secretary volunteered the fact that she "had lost around $20k" in her own account.

According to the Associated Press' "David Pitt" in a STAR article Sunday- in JUST the week of September 11 through the 18th- Americans cashed-out of their money market funds to the VERY loud tune of "$224.3-BILLION."

Save yourselves citizens- as the cost of a barrel of oil rises above $108 and higher- and the liability to the American taxpayers becomes incredibly overwhelming.

American Politicians Will Run Bail-out Plan Through Like Iraq War Approval

This bailout of greedy-now broke financial institutions with American taxpayer dollars will more than likely turn out about as well as the illegal and immoral Iraq War that Bush and his cronies got us into.

Just look- they're "rushing" this bailout through- and mostly without ANY provisions for the American taxpayer.

The Dems are calling for relief for the foreclosed and limits on bailed-out CEO perks to be included in any "plan"- but this is likely pure lip-service.

This "bail-out" WILL be "rushed" through with the ball to drop later.

In addition- I think- once this passes among the fellow millionaire pollys- we can kiss ANY chance of a National Health Plan a long and slow GOODBYE.

KANSAS CITY'S BREAKING NEWS: KC-MO Northland Shooting

A male- reportedly in his 40's- is in very critical condition in a Metro trauma center early Sunday morning after a shooting in KC-MO's Northland.

The incident was first reported at 2:43am in the 6900 block of North Robin Hood Lane- in an apartment complex.

Police & MAST medics found the victim with a single gunshot to the head.

KC-MO Police reports the suspects as "2 white males- 1 in his 20's- and a white female" and the car they left in "a blue- newer-model Camaro white white racing stripes."

This could be KC-MO's 97th known homicide of 2008 thus far.
