**PERSISTENT POLICE WORK NABS ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT**
An armed street robbery was reported to KC-MO Center zone police officers around 1 am at 43rd Street and Oak. There it was reported a black male, armed with a shotgun, had robbed the female caller on the street and took off in a black S.U.V.. She got a license plate number however.
At 1:10 am, another police officer spots a possible suspect vehicle to this robbery eastbound on Volker, where it turns south on Troost, then east on 51st St.. The officers turn on their red lights and the "black Envoy" S.U.V. speeds off.
Officers discontinue the chase a few minutes later at 63rd & Prospect- when the suspect reaches speeds of around 100 m.p.h.. Officers lose sight of the vehicle.
At 1:20 am, yet another officer reports spotting then covertly following that suspect Envoy to a house in the 5000 block of South Benton- where it's parked and a male emerges and goes into the house. The license plate on this black S.U.V. matches that the victim provided from the 43rd & Oak Streets robbery.
Officers surrounded the house - managing to make entry at 1:37 am without incident. An arrest of the male who exited the suspect vehicle is reported at 1:42 am. At least one other arrest was made as well.
